Main Navigation
The main navigation menu is the roadmap for your site visitors, helping members and new users quickly find your programs, about pages, calendar, and news. This guide covers how to access, structure, and update your site’s primary menu.
Accessing the Navigation Menu
To modify your main navigation items, you will need administrator access to the Ski Club Pro dashboard.
- Log In to your Ski Club Pro site administration panel.
- Locate the black admin toolbar at the very top of your screen.
- Hover over or click on Structure in the admin toolbar.
- From the dropdown menu, select Menus, and then click on Main Navigation.
Customizing the Menu
Within the Main Navigation settings page, you can perform several management tasks to keep your site updated:
1. Reordering Menu Items
- To change the sequence of items (such as moving "Calendar" before "About"), use the drag-and-drop handle (crosshair icon) next to the menu link.
- Drag the item up or down to your preferred position.
2. Creating Dropdown (Nested) Menus
- To nest an item under a parent link (for example, placing "Alpine Racing" under "Programs"):
- Grab the drag-and-drop handle of the item.
- Drag it slightly to the right to indent it underneath the parent item.
3. Adding New Links
- Click the Add Link button at the top of the menu management page.
- Enter the Menu Link Title (the text users will see in the navigation bar).
- Enter the Link URL (internal relative paths like /news or full external web addresses).
4. Editing or Deleting Items
- Click Edit next to any existing link to update its text or destination path.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to the edit button and select Delete to remove a link from the navigation entirely.
Important: Always click the Save button at the bottom of the page after making changes to ensure your live website updates correctly.
