Understanding Article/Create

An Article page is designed for sharing timely content, news, and editorial pieces across your website. While it shares the same user-friendly foundation as a Basic Page, an Article is purpose-built to structure and showcase narrative content. By utilizing the Article feature, you can easily publish blog posts or club insights in a clean, readable format.

Step 1: Open the Article Creation Form

  1. Hover over Content: In the top administration toolbar, place your cursor over the Manage tab, then hover over Content.
  2. Hover over Add Content: Move your cursor over Add content to expand the options menu.
  3. Navigate and Click on Article: Select Article from the sub-menu list to open the creation form.

Step 2: Fill Out the Article Details

On the Create Article page, complete the following fields:

  • Title: Enter a descriptive name for your new article.
  • Image (Optional): Click Choose File if you want to upload a main image for the page.
  • Body: Type or paste your article content into the main text editor box.

Step 3: Link Your Article to a Related Page

To make sure users can find this article from other relevant sections of your site:

  1. Scroll down to the Classification & Related Content section.
  2. Locate the Related Page(s) field.
  3. Start typing the name of the page you want to link this article to (for example, typing news will bring up a list of matching pages).
  4. Select the correct page from the automated dropdown list.

Step 4: Adjust Menu Settings (Optional)

If you want this article to appear directly in your site's main navigation menu:

  1. On the right-hand sidebar, click to expand Menu settings.
  2. Check the box for Provide a menu link.
  3. Customize the Menu link title and select its position using the Parent link dropdown.

Step 5: Save and Publish

  • Once all details are filled out, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue Save button.

Your article is now live and linked!
