Creating a basic page
Think of a Basic Page as your blank canvas—the foundational building block for the key, high-traffic areas of your website, such as your Homepage, Program Hub, or Sponsors Main Page. Because Basic Pages are incredibly flexible, they are uniquely suited for core pages that require frequent updates and fresh layouts. For example, by configuring your Homepage as a Basic Page, you gain the agility to seamlessly integrate permanent, static text alongside dynamic content elements, allowing you to highlight the latest news, real-time program updates, and sponsor spotlights all in one centralized, easily managed place.
Step 1: Navigate to Add Content
- Hover your mouse over Content in the top-left corner.
- In the dropdown menu, hover over Add Content.
- Move your cursor to the right and click on Basic Page.
Step 2: Fill in Page Details
Once the page creation screen loads, you can start building your content:
- Title: Enter the name of your page in the Title box.
- Page Header (Banner): Check the "Show Banner?" box if you want to display a large header image. Click Add media to upload or select your banner photo.
- Body: Use text editor box to type your main page content. You can format text, add bolding, insert bullet points, and add hyperlinks here.
Step 3: Choose Your Layout and Save
- Page Layout Section: If you want to add customized structural blocks or special sections to your page, you can manage them under the Section Content area by clicking Add Section.
Save Your Work: Once you are happy with your page setup, scroll to the bottom and click the blue Save button to publish your new page.
