Create and Manage Payment Plan Options

Overview: Payment plan options allow you to provide your customers with options to make payments on their order over time. You can set the different criteria (conditions) that qualify a customer for various plans that you setup. Upon checkout, if they qualify for a payment plan it will be given to them as an option or they can pay in full. If they choose a plan, then it will setup break up the payments, called Installments, based on the plan they select. There are 3 types of plans that can be created:

Description

Complete by Date with Down Payment

This plan will allow you to create a down payment amount and set a "Final Payment Date". This will require the customer to only pay the deposit amount today, and then break the rest of the order up into equal monthly payments with the completion date that you set. Monthly payment dates will be the same day of the month from the order completion.


Complete by Date with First Payment upon Checkout



This plan will just break the order up into equal monthly payments with the first payment made today with the final payment being complete by completion date that you set. Monthly payment dates will be the same day of the month from the order completion.

Equal Monthly Payments


This plan will allow you to set a number of monthly payments you want with ALL payments running on the day of the month you select. For example, if you select the 15th for the day of the month, all payment will be run on the 15th each month.

For each payment plan you create, you can set the "Conditions" that a customer has to qualify for to be offered the particular plan. Here are the different conditions that can be set.

Type Option Description
Customer Customer ID Select only purchasing adults. This option should only be used for specific use cases where you are only offering the plan to a specific household/s. Looks up by email.

Customer Email Legacy Option. Same as above, but this requires only a single email address. Customer ID is preferred over this option.

Select this option if you want the plan to be visible based on a dollar amount. This is the most commonly used option.

Selected payment gateway Select this option if you want to limit the payment plan to either Credit Card or eCheck options.
Products Order DOES NOT contain specific products If you choose a product in this and an order contains one or more of these exclude products, it will disqualify the entire order for the payment plan.

Order contains specific products If you choose a product in this and an order contains one or more of these includes products, it will qualify the entire order for the payment plan.

Order contains product categories If you choose a product category that includes any products are in the category, and the order contains one or more of these it will qualify the entire order for the payment plan.

Order DOES NOT contain product categories If you choose a product category that excludes any products are in the category, and the order contains one or more of these it will qualify the entire order for the payment plan.
