Sync Quickbooks Products into Ski Club Pro
Overview: If you are using the Quickbooks Online (QBO) Integration with Ski Club Pro (SCP) then you will need to have existing products in QBO that you will sync into SCP and reference each new product to a QBO product. This does not need to be one-to-one, but rather, you need to have a QBO product that you want the revenue of the SCP product to go into. For example, if you have a specific Chart of Account for your Devo team, but you offer 3 different Devo program, e.g. 1-Day, 2-Day, 3-Day, then you could just have one QBO product for Devo and connect that to all 3 products in SCP.
Steps to Create QBO Product for SCP:
- Login to QBO
- On the top right corner, go to the "Gear Wheel" and click on List > Product & Services
Click NEW button to create either a Service or Non-inventory item
NOTE: SCP only syncs Service or Non-inventory items.
- Create the Item
- Add Name
SKU and/or Category
NOTE: Depending on your integration, you either use the SKU or Category to identify the products that will be synced into SCP. Not all product sync.
- For SKU integrations, the letters (all lowercase) "scp" needs to be somewhere in the SKU, e.g. scp-devo, devo-scp
- For Category integrations, you need to select the category "Ski Club Pro".
- Add Class (optional)
Select INCOME ACCOUNT
NOTE: This is important for mapping the income from the product you sell in SCP to the correct income account. The Description and Sales price are not necessary as they get overwritten in the integration with SCP specific information.
- Move on to SCP to Sync Products
Sync QBO Products into SCP:
- Once you've created or updated products within QBO, login to SCP
- Go to SETTINGS > CATEGORIES > QBO PRODUCT CATEGORIES
Click the UPDATE QBO PRODUCTS button
NOTE: This will go and grab all the updates to the products you made in QBO and bring them into SCP.
- Next step is to connect newly synced QBO products to the actual products you create in SCP.
Connecting QBO Products to Specific SCP Products:
- Either update a product or Create a product by going to MANAGE > REGISTRATIONS
- When on the edit interface under PRICING section you will have a required field called QBO PRODUCT REFERENCE, and you need to choose the product to connect.
- Click Save.
